Don’t scratch your head. I am going to clear my point. Knowingly or unknowingly “Nolaned” is the word, me and my Facebook friend used as synonym for the words “Tangled” and “Complicated” respectively.
“Nolaned” is a word which we derived from the last name of Christopher Nolan - A legendry director in Hollywood.
Tangled-Nolaned |
Back in college, during my 2nd year engineering study, on one of the desk in class, I found somebody written “Inception-the movie you must watch before you die”. First I ignored the writing. But fortunately I used to get the same desk to sit whenever I attended class. Curiosity filled day by day and finally one day it flooded. I straight away went to hostel, downloaded it and watched. Jeez! I was totally taken away; I wondered was it movie or brain teaser? I watched it again and again. The more I watched, more I understood, more I understood, more I got confused. “Where on earth this movie director is?” “Does movie can also have this type of narration?” I completely, completely, completely, fell in love with his direction and screenplay. Next day I did nothing but googled about him and got information about all he directed movies
I became a big fan of Christopher Nolan. I have seen almost all his movies. From his first short movie “doodlebug” to his latest (but not-so-recent) movie “The dark night rises”. He is a master of non-linear movies. His movies are so complicated and twisted that, they make us to think, they eat our brain, not once or twice but several time. This is the reason why I substituted tangled word to a word nolened.
I appreciate Nolan’s family for their wonderful work in filmy field and I think Nolan’s family is the only family in Hollywood who works together. His brother Jonathan Nolan Co-writes screenplay and his wife Emma Thomas produced all his movies. They even named their production as “syncope” which literally means “fainting”. Yes, we certainly faint when we see his movies.
Very sad for Nolan fans that he has not got Oscar award yet, but we are very confident that he will get it someday
Few words to a man who redefined the quote “A Movie should have beginning, middle and end, but not necessarily in order”
"We, Nolan Fans know that our master’s movie need not to be Rated, Reviewed, or awarded. They are all masterpieces. We believe in Christopher Nolan. We can proudly say he deserves Oscar. He is The Prestige of Hollywood, The dark knight of movies."
A very big happy birthday Christopher Nolan…… I wish I had your brain…….
(Not to mention about his movies, “The prestige” and “Memento” I have to write a separate articles for them.)
Amazing... Well conveyed your thoughts.
