"Gone girl" movie review

Images can decieve us, our understanding of any happening based on any evidences might be wrong, what we think as strong evidences are might be trumped-up stories.
This is what "Gone Girl" is about. An intelligent game from an intelligent girl.

Movie story, which is taken from the novel of same name is engaging and enthralling. Though movie is purly made for entertaining the audience with thrills, it also throws a light on consequences of recession, husband-wife relationship, media-nowadays.
Movie in one angle looks like wild and disgrace to young minds. Having said that, I feel no regret in recommending this movie to anyone who want to watch thrillers. You should watch this movie for its wonderful direction and narration.

Acting of every actors is commendable. To pinpoint anyone's acting means, it is Rosamund Pike's ( Man! You should really watch the scene when she staggers and falls in her husband's arm with blood all over her body, after doing a heinous crime)

Go for this movie if you are a lover of thrillers.

"Haider" Movie Review

"Haider" an adoption of Shakespeare's famous play "Hamlet" is a family-relationship movie. Hamlet's complicated story is nicely portrayed to suit the present generation.

Setting the backdrop of 1995, director cleverly used the Kashmir conflict situation to tell the story. Movie is more like an artistic expression of human feelings rather than just any other family-drama movies. It sems that dirctor ensured himself to make audience to think about movie's characters and their interlinked relationship even after coming out of the theater and he succeeded in that.

Shahid's and Tabu's performance is wonderful (especially, Shahid's acting in second part is sensational). Shraddha's acting is 'okay'. And menon's acting is 'above-okay'. Not to mention about Irrfan's acting.Though all the characters of movie are equally important, at the end mainly Shahid's role, Tabu's role and Menon's role will swirl in your head.

Coming to it's flaws, yeah, we can say that movie is not suitable for everyone. (Some may find movie is not a entertaining one)

Go for this movie if you're a fan of artistic-movies or Shakespeare's plays.

P.S: Certainly we have to appreciate the director's chutzpah for modernizing Shakespeare's plays without altering the main story plot.
P.P.S: Movie is not really made for entertainment purpose.

Nolan-ed

Every time I take out the earphone from my pocket to listen FM. I find it tangled.  It usually takes me half minute to make it untangle. But yesterday was exception; even after 5min of continuous try I was unable to extricate it. The reason is simple, I had two earphones in my pocket and both were entangled each other (no wonder if you experienced the same in any time of your life) eventually I lost my temper and threw them on table.  When my friend asked me the reason for my anger I said him “my earphones tangled each other” “what?” He asked again.  “My earphones nolaned” I shouted. I don’t know whether he got that or not but he minded his work with confused face. In Similar situation my friend commented “Nolan” to one of my Facebook post when he found it extremely difficult to understand.

Don’t scratch your head. I am going to clear my point. Knowingly or unknowingly “Nolaned” is the word, me and my Facebook friend used as  synonym for the words “Tangled” and “Complicated” respectively.

Nolaned” is a word which we derived from the last name of Christopher Nolan - A legendry director in Hollywood.
Tangled-Nolaned

Back in college, during my 2nd year engineering study, on one of the desk in class, I found somebody written “Inception-the movie you must watch before you die”. First I ignored the writing. But fortunately I used to get the same desk to sit whenever I attended class. Curiosity filled day by day and finally one day it flooded. I straight away went to hostel, downloaded it and watched. Jeez! I was totally taken away; I wondered was it movie or brain teaser? I watched it again and again. The more I watched, more I understood, more I understood, more I got confused. “Where on earth this movie director is?” “Does movie can also have this type of narration?” I completely, completely, completely, fell in love with his direction and screenplay. Next day I did nothing but googled about him and got information about all he directed movies

I became a big fan of Christopher Nolan. I have seen almost all his movies. From his first short movie “doodlebug” to his latest (but not-so-recent) movie “The dark night rises”.  He is a master of non-linear movies. His movies are so complicated and twisted that, they make us to think, they eat our brain, not once or twice but several time. This is the reason why I substituted tangled word to a word nolened.
I appreciate Nolan’s family for their wonderful work in filmy field and I think Nolan’s family is the only family in Hollywood who works together. His brother Jonathan Nolan Co-writes screenplay and his wife Emma Thomas produced all his movies. They even named their production as “syncope” which literally means “fainting”. Yes, we certainly faint when we see his movies.
Very sad for Nolan fans that he has not got Oscar award yet, but we are very confident that he will get it someday

Few words to a man who redefined the quote “A Movie should have beginning, middle and end, but not necessarily in order”

"We, Nolan Fans know that our master’s movie need not to be Rated, Reviewed, or awarded. They are all masterpieces. We believe in Christopher Nolan. We can proudly say he deserves Oscar. He is The Prestige of Hollywood, The dark knight of movies."

A very big happy birthday Christopher Nolan…… I wish I had your brain…….

(Not to mention about his movies, “The prestige” and “Memento” I have to write a separate articles for them.)
